West Cornwall's Highways Responsibility
The Township has the responsibility of maintaining 10.98 miles of township roads. The road system is continually improved with at least one contracted project annually plus any maintenance needed done by the road crew. Residents should be aware that Township roads have at least a 33 foot right-of-way. All new developments have a 50 foot right-of-way. Fences, trees, shrubs, decorations, planters etc., should not be placed with the Township’s right-of-way, as it is necessary for our road crew to perform snow removal effectively and maintain proper drainage.
Annual Leaf collections take place in the spring and fall of the year. Leaves are collected in the fall at curbside, leaves only, no branches and no bagged leaves.
